Day 14 of Bruce's Recovery

Bruce's Update:

Well, it's been a long couple of days. Sorry for not keeping all of you posted on my dad's status. Last Wednesday my dad was moved out of the ICU to the 5th floor. Once he was moved, my dad developed a fever and a cough. Over the next three days, the doctors did quite a few tests and determined that my dad has had a fever due to the strokes that have caused an infection in his brain. They are now treating him with very potent antibiotics. As of last night, his fever has subsided and is at about 99 degrees. The doctors also determined that his cough came from two blood clots in his right lung. They traveled up his leg and landed in his lung. They did a minor procedure that made a basket to collect all the blood clots to prevent any more blood clots. He is still in ICU and they are hoping to move him to another floor just as soon as a bed opens up.
