Day 9 of Bruce's Recovery

My dad sure does say some funny things now that he is awake. I wanted to take this opportunity for all of you who have been visiting him to make comments on things that he has said. Some of his sayings are very heartfelt, while others are darn right funny. I will share some of my favorites with you and please feel free to post a comment on yours.

Bruce has said to us:

~That's nice!
~ Feels good!
~ I just want to make you happy!
~ I love you/I love you too!
~ Stymie is Stupid! (My dad calls Obama Stymie)
~ Bring Baby Back! (Referring to Heather having her baby this Wednesday. He wanted her to bring the baby to show him)
~ Make yourself Happy!
~ My hair is puffed up!
~ They are leaving her in the dark. (Repeating my mom saying she felt left in the dark on my dad's prognosis)
~ How are my Vitals? Are they good?
~ I hope your coming back to see me?

Today he is doing better than yesterday. He is eating really good and staying more awake. I enjoy spending time with him late in the evenings when all of our family has gone home. We talk about his day and all the visitors he has had. Then we plan out his meals and talk about what tomorrow will look like. I tuck him into bed, kiss is soft cheeks and say a prayer for him. Then I watch him sleep and think of all the memories we have together. When I drive home I pray for the journey he has ahead of him and ask God to watch over him, keeping him safe and healthy. Please continue all of your prayers. They have been helping so much and I hope that all of our prayers will help my dad make a full recovery.
