Today is one of the most painful days of my life. I wish I was writing all of you to tell you about how well my dad was doing or how he smiled for me. Instead I am writing to tell you that on Tuesday August 25th, 2009 at approximately 6:20pm, my dad past away. He was surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. He took his last breath peacefully with Joanne (his wife) by his side. He was an extraordinary man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Dad,
I wanted to let you know that as of today Lexi has raised $555.00 in memory of you to go to the American Heart Association! Because of you, the American Heart Association will be getting that money to help fund research and educate the public in the prevention of stroke and heart disease. I only wish that we cou...ld have prevented you from taking that stroke on August 02, 2009. I wish that your life would not have been cut short due to that stroke and sepsis. But maybe all the money that each of these beautiful children raises, will prevent someone special, like you, from dying.
